Community and safety

Safety Guidelines

Nestly helps people meet and plan together. Every member still needs to make careful, independent decisions about people, homes, leases, and money.

Effective October 22, 2026 · Beta version

Respect the community

Be honest, respectful, and clear. Harassment, discrimination, threats, stalking, impersonation, scams, fraud, coercion, and unlawful content are prohibited.

Protect yourself

  • Keep sensitive personal, financial, account, and exact-address information private until you have independently established trust and a legitimate need to share it.
  • Meet for the first time in a public place, tell someone you trust where you are going, and arrange your own transportation.
  • Independently verify a person, property, authority to rent, lease terms, and listing availability.
  • Never send money, deposits, credentials, or financial information based solely on a Nestly profile, message, House Hunt, or external listing link.
  • Contact local emergency services if you or someone else may be in immediate danger. Nestly is not an emergency service.

Know what verification means

Email verification does not mean identity verification. Nestly does not currently provide identity checks, background checks, landlord verification, or property-ownership verification. Compatibility does not guarantee safety or a successful living arrangement.

Use the relationship controls

  • Unmatch ends the active match and makes its historical conversation read-only. Shared House Hunt membership is not automatically removed.
  • Block prevents future direct interaction and applies server-enforced relationship and House Hunt consequences.
  • Report sends private information to Nestly's beta moderation process for review. We do not disclose report details or direction to the reported member and do not promise 24/7 coverage or a response deadline.
